The Apollo Society is named in honor of all those who contributed to the success of the Apollo space program and proved that humans could walk upon the Moon.

In the Spirit of Apollo, we shall return.


The Apollo Society pursues its mission by initiating and reciprocating collaboration, and focusing the efforts, talents and contributions of its members on the following programs:
    * The Delphi Project: a research and technology development project to establish a permanent, self-sustaining human community beyond Earth.

    * Educational Programs to broaden and deepen public interest in and support for space exploration and settlement.

    * Membership Programs to foster a spirit of community among the many people throughout the world who share the goals and vision of peaceful exploration and settlement of space.

When the Apollo 11 mission landed the first humans on the Moon, the landing craft carried a plaque that remains on the Moon today and reads:

HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH
FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON

WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND

Motivated by these words and with a desire to extend this spirit, The Apollo Society advocates that future human exploration and settlement of space be guided by the principles outlined below:
